I have looked and looked but I just can't seem to find something that would do for me:
NOT TIGHT ROUND THE TUM!
SOMETHING YOU CAN WEAR A BRA WITH
NOT FLOOR LENGTH
NOT TOOOOOOO GIRLY
NOT TOOOOOOO FLASHY
NOT TOOOOOOO PINK AND FRILLY
NO BOWS OR NETTING
NOT TIGHT

Something for up to £80.
It can be tight round the boobs but that is it, and it can be knee lenght but not too short, I am an respectable mother, lol.

Any help would be greatly appreiciated
I LOVE THIS BUT IT IS TO TIGHT ON THE OLD TUM

Respectable

Anyway, someone help us find something for her...she's being a great friend by staying with me in a hotel when she doesn't really have to.

I knew you'd be my first post on here, stalking me are we?

Yes, I'm making sure you don't find another woman to run off with before the party

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 16:45

this with some bling and fancy shoes

one
two

things with a ruched bit round the waist thus are very flattering to tums - certainly worth looking out for cheaper versions that shape.

or something like this might skim your stomach

i like two mrs b
the others are giving me 70's flashbacks

Squiffy · 01/11/2007 16:56

I too have been searching for that little black tardis which I don't think exists (you know the one, size 18 on the inside but looks like a 10 to everyone else)

I gave up and bought this from M&S and it is fab with a wrap over it. It is extremely flattering to those of us with 'post-children' figures. But you must promise not to buy it in black (unless you're bigger than me obviously), else there really will be murder on the dancefloor.

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 17:11

Quite like this but Not sure about the sparlky bits round the top?

OP posts:
gorymacmummy · 01/11/2007 17:17

I think that dress is reallly flattering KHIN, if you were worried about your tum you could get one of those girdly things nthat hold everything in?

Have you tried next??

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 17:18

Squiffy I quite like it in red or purple, but I wouldn't want to tread on any toes by buying the same dress in a different colour

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 17:20

Ah yes GMM support knickers I am way ahead of you there, but there is only so much they can do

OP posts:
bossykate · 01/11/2007 17:20

would you consider borrowing a dress? what size are you? where do you live?

normabutty · 01/11/2007 17:21

I still prefer that black one you like.

bossykate · 01/11/2007 17:21

you said not flashy but all the things you've linked to are flashy imho! not in a bad way

bossykate · 01/11/2007 17:22

except the plain black one - that's nice.

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 17:24

I mean not flashy as in BOWs or netting and all over sequins may be something a little sparlky but not to OTT Iyswim.
Why do you ask if I would borrow a dress do you have something in mind?
I would seriously consider it if it was a great dress

OP posts:
bossykate · 01/11/2007 17:30

i do. i have at least one lbd that i think is very flattering - it is quite plain though, needs dressing up with accessories. it's a 14 from hobbs, so more like a 14 - 16 - probably too big for you

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 17:38

Ah yes I am an 11
(10 on a good day 12 on a bad.)

OP posts:
bossykate · 01/11/2007 17:39

you can't have that much of a tummy problem then

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 17:42

I used to be a 6 before I had dd1 then I was a 8-10 then I got pg with DT'S and now my poor little tum is a mass of streched, sagging, floppy skin
