brand new White top(s) dyed in wash - can I save it?

I’m so gutted I could cry 😭😭, in fact I just did. Just did a white wash with two new tops that were Christmas presents. The first a gorgeous white Massimo Dutti sweatshirt and second a white under armour work out top, both cotton. Threw my pair of white ski mitts in (also new) not considering that the black waterproof bit on the palm might dye. Lots of sploges of colour along with with an overall tinge. Can they be saved?
I only ever post in S&B, not brave enough for main board so hope someone can help! šŸ™

Try astonish laundry bleach in the pink tub with a colour catcher in the drum, twice the amount of detergent and press the extra rinse button.

I got black biro ink out of white bedding that way recently. If that fails (astonish ususually shifts anything) use colour run remover from beckmann but that’s a bit harsher so I use it as a last resort.

I would also say Try a colour run remover ?

SoupDragon · 10/02/2021 13:08

A colour run remover is definitely worth a shot.

Fab, thank you. I’ll definitely try these suggestions and keep my fingers crossed. Good to hear other people have managed to shift similar.
