Aldi skin care - any recommendations for a 50+ year old please

I've heard that Aldi do some really good skin care and wondered if there's any that people would recommend for me, aged 50+, specifically for wrinkles around the eyes and general firming.

I don't go to Aldi often as we don't have one in our town but I'm going to my Mum's to do her shopping and she has one nearby.

I don't want to be standing there for ages reading labels and trying to work out where to start!

Thanks

I used the Caviar night cream which was very good. Not sure exactly what it’s a dupe for, something very expensive, but it gets good reviews.

Yes I've heard that they are dupes for various (much more expensive) products but, not being clued up on my beauty products, wasn't sure which ones.

Thank you for that recommendation though

I like the caviar night cream as well.
I went to Aldi on Monday night and there wasn’t much available, not sure if they’re cutting back? There are a few bits to order in their website

Only recently discovered that the bestsellers are available online. The caviar creams are excellent. www.aldi.co.uk/lacura-caviar-day-%26-night-cream/p/000000359807000
It’s worth checking online regularly - some special buys are worth buying - recently they had an excellent serum I have used - I wasn’t quick enough!
This is a good one though. www.aldi.co.uk/lacura-q10-multi-intensive-serum/p/080918177809600

Most of my skin care is Aldi. But I go frequently and so I can stock up on the periodic things. They have great hot cloth cleanser, and they have great dupes for pixi toners (glycolic acid and retinol). I love the miracle cream, too.

But I don't really use their standard stuff as much - the Caviar, etc. Nothing wrong with them, they just don't fit into my current routine.

I combine with some of the basic booster serums from Superdrug.

I want to go to Aldi.

Yes to checking the special buys. The rose oil is great, you mix a few drops in your normal moisturiser, it feels and smells wonderful.

The Lidl serum is good.
The nearest Aldi is a few miles away. I'd need to do a big shop, and often they won't have the item I'd gone there for.

Aldo multi-intensive serum is good stuff.

Thanks folks

The store had loads in but I ended up getting the Caviar night cream and a Q10 day one.

Thanks! Once again, MN costs me money Grin but the Lacura Caviar day and night cream really are great.

Bluesheep8 · 05/02/2021 07:14

Aldi dupe of Liz Earle cleanse and polish
Rose Face oil
Q10 moisturiser

Bluesheep8 · 05/02/2021 07:16

I think the Aldi caviar cream is a dupe of creme de last mer which is £££. I'm sure I recall that a comparison of ingredients was done and they are virtually identical.

teawamutu · 05/02/2021 08:37

I bought the Caviar day and night cream a couple of months ago and I'm in love - so few creams are rich enough to make my dry skin feel nice.
