Casual clothes for teen, size 4/6?

13 yo Dd has shot up suddenly and everything is too short.

She needs new cosy hoodies/sweatshirts and joggers. Has to be warm and comfortable, fashion less important.

Ideally size 4, but 6 would be ok, oversized appears to be in.

We looked at Next but everything in stock in her size seemed to be velour, and either black or bright pink, which she rejected.

She'd ideally go for navy/blue/green/white. Not keen on sports brands, her taste is a bit eclectic.
She'd go for some sort of quirky, possibly wry "humorous" design on the hoody, ideally.

(Sorry, vaguest design brief ever!)

Can anyone point us to any likely websites? Don't have the first idea where to look.

Pretty little thing

Thanks @Heybeendyingtomeetyou, I'll show her New Look, I think she'd like a few of those colours.

I don't think we'll need petite - she is probably about 5"3 but seems to be just arms and legs at the moment

  • had to send back some age 14 joggers for being too short.

My teen is older now (but only 5' 1") - I'd look at places like Lazy Oaf, Monki, Run & Fly

ShaunaTheSheep · 25/01/2021 20:19

Hollister

cosmikdebris · 25/01/2021 21:31

design wise, look on RedBubble for cool designs, its a great way to support independent artists too :) im 20 and 5'3, im a womens size 8 or 10, its worth having a look at addults sizes too! Run & Fly make AMAZING dungarees, skirts, shirts and tshirts in all sizes, i bought some bright yellow ones with bees all over, and my best mate bought some that were covered in sloths. theyre super high quality and well made, if you can see through the price!

Pretty little thing, boohoo and missguided

I'm struggling with my daughter who has also show up! It's a nightmare as she hates the cropped T-shirt fashion that is everywhere at the moment

Ilovewillow · 25/01/2021 22:33

You could try Hush - brought some for my daughter in a size 6 and they are comfortably baggy. I'm 5"2 and also have some and lengthwise they are great too. Good colours and completely plain!

PolloDePrimavera · 25/01/2021 22:39

H&M tend to be pretty long in the leg. My DD is talk and leggings etc have always fitted. Zara adult clothes are also, don't know about kids'. Also try ASOS tall.

Whathappenedtothelego · 26/01/2021 09:04

Thanks, lots of ideas.

Thank you for the Redbubble suggestion, that was just the sort of thing I was hoping for.

PLT and Boohoo are the worst quality ever! Dnieces are obsessed but DSIL loathes it all because it washes terribly and falls to bits. She rates H&M, Zara, Monki, and Hollister.

M&S or Boden children's ranges tend to be more generous heightwise.
