do you think they are a bit dull?

they are fine as pair as a pair of black boots go...did you want something more funky?

BBBee · 27/10/2007 15:32

I guess I was thinking more chic than funky - but suspect I have ended up with neither.

well it depends what you want from your boots

they seem fine to me - in fact, I have a similar pair but plain is my sort of thing. I don't do fussy.

So what were you looking for exactly?

franke · 27/10/2007 15:36

I like the simple lines - very nice.

puppydavies · 27/10/2007 15:37

heh honest (not kind) i can do. i like them. good, classic boots, good length, nicely curvaceous, tab at the top stops them being too plain. the only thing i'm not keen on is the tapered heel, is a bit in-betweeny, not spikey, not chunky, but be honest, how many people get close enough to look that closely at the shape of your heel? altogether good i reckon.

BBBee · 27/10/2007 15:49

thank you - that is kind of what I wanted to hear. I, too, am not really into the whole 'fussy' thing and I was looking for chic and class rather than funk and style. I just don;t want to be dull. My boots before that I adored and have walked to death were a bit more striking - I just want these to make me all sophisticated.

aah you see, I do that to my boots too. I feel devastated when I realise a pair is about to die on me because I buy boots and then wear them almost every day but it takes me yonks to find a pair I want to bond with .

Have you looked at Clarks this year? They had some quite passable ones.

chocolatespiders · 27/10/2007 15:55

ilike - just saw them on another thread....

pointydog · 27/10/2007 16:07

personally, a bit dull

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 27/10/2007 16:12

I like them, as I said on 10/10. Classic & Simple.

Not funky though so if that is what you were after you may need to rethink.

What would you wear them with?

MrsBadger · 27/10/2007 16:16

nice understated style, good price, not keen on the heel shape though - I always worry that a tapered heel looks like it will snap under the weight of my strapping legs.

katwith3kittens · 27/10/2007 16:23

I like the top part, but personally not keen on the toe and heel shape.

Santasmissyontheside · 27/10/2007 16:39

not keen on the heel or toe either

woodenchair · 27/10/2007 18:52

I really like them and would def get them at that price. like the heal and toe, they would look really nice with a skirt or wrap dress

ruddynorah · 27/10/2007 18:59

i'm not keen. the heel is an odd shape and height, neither high enough nor low enough to be what i would consider chic. similarily, the shape of the toe is rather dull. i think you could have found nicer.

ivykaty44 · 27/10/2007 19:05

Dull sensible and unexciting - like the wedges though in the small piccy
