Do you know where I can find a Persian rug made with artificial fibres?

I and my husband are both really allergic to wool and I'd like a carpet I can sit on and not feel itchy and sneezy immediately. My husband's family have real wool ones and although they are lovely, it is so uncomfortable! I love the traditional look of Persian rugs but don't know where I could find a big, good quality, non-wool one for the living room. Does anyone have any ideas?

How did this wind up in S&B?

There are loads on Wayfair. Some of them are gorgeous.

The other traditional fabric for Persian rugs is silk but I imagine they cost a small fortune and probably don't wear well.

This site seems to have a massive selection - no idea what they're like but there's a chance they might have something a bit more authentic looking.

Thanks, all. Some of these look lovely. I have googled but I kept getting wool rugs or artificial turf!

Look at this company - all made out of recycled plastic bottles!

Ikea!

The IKEA oriental rugs are wool, I think. They do look more like proper Persian rugs than some of the others.

Benuta and IKEA make Persian style rugs from polypropylene.
