Would a velvet midi skirt be ok for the office?

I'm working from home for the foreseeable future, and am giving my credit card a considerable bashing in the winter sales. I'm trying to keep in mind things that I'll be able to wear to the office next autumn, as I'm hoping to buy things that will last.

I love this skirt and cardi combination, but I'm wondering if a velvet skirt is too dressy for the office? Office isn't really corporate or strict dress code (from what I gather- I actually started my job in lockdown entirely from home so haven't actually been there yet)!

Yes definitely! Would work with a Uniqlo merino wool crew neck, v neck or polo neck for the office.

That's lovely and easy to dress up or down with boots/trainers. I have similar and hoping to get lots of wear out of it in all seasons!
