I got some lovely apple green leather gloves in there for £6. I think their accessories are better than their clothes TBH.

EffiePerine · 25/10/2007 12:04

would avoid trousers - Primark ones always look cheap and crappy to mw

couple of tops
jumper
skirt/dress
so 2 practical things and one more interesting

popsycal · 25/10/2007 12:04

Good comprehensive list

I have plenty slim fitting t shirts already. Need some casual trousers - I have 3 pairs of jeans and in 2 pairs, my knees are about to pop through . I need to Sort It Out.

It needs to be cheap really. The rest of my current wardrobe is Asda or Tesco stuff with a bit of Next thrown in (mainly for work stuff). How did I become so un-bothered about clothes

Have you got a uniqlo near you? I bought some lovely wide leg cargo style trews in there a while back, dead cheap.

EffiePerine · 25/10/2007 12:07

H&M? They do good trousers

popsycal · 25/10/2007 12:07

dont think we have mrsmerton.....

Talk to me abotu sweater dresses......are they a 'without trousers' thing or not?

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 25/10/2007 12:08

Uniqlo seems to be good quality too. They're online now too as it happens.

popsycal · 25/10/2007 12:08

yep have H&M but I find their trousers don't fit brilliantly since I had children.

I am a size 12 if that helps....

I think sweater dresses are meant to go with leggings? But I'm not very stylish, this is just an observation from M&T group.

popsycal · 25/10/2007 12:10

I have never been able to bring myself to wear leggings......I feel too 'Fame'-ified.....

Know you've left already but asda are doing some great wide legged, high waisted and skinny jeans for £8 at the moment.
the wide legged, high waisted ones are really lovely, considering the price and I've been wearing mine with wedge heel boots and long sweater type dresses.

popsycal · 25/10/2007 16:02

OMG Primark in the school holidays. What a free for all

Well. Semi successful. £15 spent. Black this knit jumper, slightly longer length, slim fit. Neck line sort of in between round and slash neck. £6.

Green (not bottle green - dark but muted if that make sense) slim fit, v neck with slight gathered rouching effect on norks. Fiver.

Thick leather belt. Sort of slate blue colour. £3.

Light weight Cotton dress type top in cream with tiny jade coloured flowers on. £1 in the sales.

2 pairs of black gloves. £1.

Should also have bought a couple of plain long sleeved t shirts but couldn't push my way through the crowds .

Trousers did not fit well at all.

Also bought some Christmas presents for family in Boots 3 for 2 thing.

popsycal · 25/10/2007 16:02

Er that is £16

Well I feel quite jealous popsycal - just braved the Liverpool Primark (gosh its big!!) and didn't even get the chance to look for me!! Managed to spend a whopping £7.50 for which I got a top for dd1, a pair of shoes for dd2 and tights for dd2. Ran out of time because of the crush and car parking ticket was almost up. Had to hobble back to car with burnt toes (another story!) with nothing for me . Think I may wait until school gone back before I venture in again though.

popsycal · 25/10/2007 16:46

I was child free thank goodness. Would NEVER have braved it with two boys for company!!!

OP posts:
Polgara2 · 25/10/2007 16:59

Hwow long is the jumper please and did you notice if they had any long belted cardigans?

popsycal · 25/10/2007 17:05

The jumper almost covers my bottom
They did have long belted cardigans - mostly in light grey, if I remember correctly. They had some nice chunky knit cardies too but I was annoyingly 'betweeen sizes'!
