white stuff one w/deep hem and flappy poppered pockets? they've been coming up on ebay pretty regularly lately. should get one for under a tenner. is not best length tbh, mid calf, too long.

saltnshake · 24/10/2007 23:17

hmm don't think it's that one. They called it 'out to sea denim skirt' and it's in the catalogue they sent me last week but no sign of it on their website. says 'slip hand an back pockets'. but it doesn't give a length. I'm all fired up to get post baby-fat clothes but I've spent too long looking through catalogue and loads is sold out

ah yes thanks there's one on there that's good, funny they don't show you more pictures on the web like the back veiw. God I can't wait to get out of bf clothes (breast feeding not boyfried!)

I love that Toast one, I'm hoping it will be in the sale, reduced to £15 or thereabouts.

Boden has some.

saltnshake · 24/10/2007 23:28

boyfriend not fried, my brain that's fried. Yes a Toast sale would be good...

can't bear to go to Boden, they would fill my hall with catalogues in days. i hate it when they send the same one with a different cover as if I'll open it and not realise. very odd

I bought the Toast denim skirt and I adore it. It has a lovely feeling of substance to it. I can't really afford their stuff but I'd had a payment for a piece of work that meant a lot to me so I decided to splash out on a few things from there.

I've dressed it up and dressed it down and I think I will be wearing it for years.

Unfortunately I'm now addicted to Toast. I might have to sell the pets and children and husband and house and...

LaCerbiatta · 29/10/2007 11:15

Is this the toast skirt you're talking about? It looks really nice, but is it really worth that much? I'm also looking for one and it has to be a-line as straight doesn't really suit me but was hoping I could find a cheaper one...

Eliza2 · 29/10/2007 13:13

It WAS expensive and bought on a bit of a whim. But I think I will get the wear out of it to make it worth it! The fabric is quite heavy--definitely winter weight and it is nicely finished off.

LaCerbiatta · 29/10/2007 13:38

so Eliza, you bought the one I linked for? It really is what I was looking for.... Is it nice enough to dress up?

Eliza2 · 29/10/2007 17:00

I think so. I wore it to a book-signing last week, with another Toast purchase: one of the front-tie tops in Chartreuse, and a pair of black suede boots. I didn't really think about what I was wearing all day, which I took as a good sign that I felt appropriately turned out.

I'll be wearing it out again (third outing in three weeks) tonight, to a friend's 'buying evening'.
