I think this one in black

and this one also black

I am wondering about cold legs too under skirts what do we do about this?

Tights! Nice warm ones, not see-through barely black ones.

CappuScreamO · 22/10/2007 13:16

ooh where

Boco · 22/10/2007 13:19

Take it slowly. If you go down this route too quickly you may be buying foot gloves and long johns and then you'll do a sharp and dramatic turn around and end up having a tattoo of your face on your real face and getting your hips pierced and having an affair with a personal trainer called Ryan.

Slowly. Just start with a bit of a warmer jumper.

Beenleigh · 22/10/2007 13:35

lol boco
I am thinking the same as you though cappu, and shall be buying these 100 denier and these 60 denier and these with cashmere and I shall be looking for some pairs of cotton tights too. I always wear at least two pairs when it's really cold

stripeymama · 22/10/2007 13:41

Try Falke tights - not cheap but gorgeous, I have some lovely striped ones that have lasted three years so far.

CappuScreamO · 22/10/2007 13:41

Boco the warmer jumpers are too late for me

It is all or nothing

I am frozen I am still sitting in the office in my coat

surely anything is better than this

OP posts:
CappuScreamO · 22/10/2007 13:42

I had actually looked at long johns

I wondered if they would last longer than tights

it is all over for me isn't it

OP posts:
Boco · 22/10/2007 13:48

Maybe not. Maybe the last of the summer wine look is coming back - just around the corner. Have you thought about a compo beanie hat and a fleece lined bodywarmer in taupe?

Boco · 22/10/2007 13:49

...and a moustache for keeping your top lip warm?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 22/10/2007 14:15

Oh Capp - I love you - I bought the M&S sleeveless on in black today. Felt a proper old biddy but now we can be thermal buddys.

CappuScreamO · 22/10/2007 14:22

bodywarmers no use

no upper arm coverage

Saggars I love you too, ThermoBud

OP posts:
Boco · 22/10/2007 14:29

this could be you and your ThermoMate?

CappuScreamO · 22/10/2007 14:38

hmm I am unsure about his nethers

but you have to admit they do both look cosy

OP posts:
Boco · 22/10/2007 14:41

I suppose.

You could also play starship enterprise before putting on the rest of your clothes?

I need crotchless I think. Must avoid sweaty ladybits at all costs. Why is it that that bit of me is always toasty?

stripeymama · 22/10/2007 14:59

Footless tights are lovely lovely lovely.
Warm socks are even better.

Central heating in the stripey house would be the best though.

CappuScreamO · 22/10/2007 15:00

saggars i have searched and searched for crotchless I have exactly the same problem

I found some on sale in BHS but they were only thin and htink they were selling them off iyswim

if you find any that don't have any scary Ann Summers connotations let me know

OP posts:
Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 22/10/2007 15:10

Yes, I'm afraid to Google crotchless as the dcs use this laptop.

snowleopard · 22/10/2007 15:10

Mmmmm I love vests and tights, two of the many great things about winter. Check out Gap for vests. I got a lovely green one there last week, lacy around the hem, stretchy and warm.

CappuScreamO · 22/10/2007 15:14

I have googled Saggars

there is luxury crotchless with lace for the sophisticated woman

no everyday crotchless with wool for the elderly lady

OP posts:
CappuScreamO · 22/10/2007 15:14

ooh snow really? but does it have arms?

OP posts:
snowleopard · 22/10/2007 15:45

Mine doesn't, but there were loads of different styles - worth a look and not too £££.

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 22/10/2007 16:28

Ugh - don't want lacy crotchless. Comfort and warmth are all I require.

I've had fair trade organic cotton thingy vest today too - M&S again. Only £3.50 (from the undies section), in a dirty green colour, nice though and fine, good for layering. Will probably go back and get another.

CappuScreamO · 23/10/2007 10:27

mmm I have just placed my order

I have two vests and a load of tights coming my way

and some footlessy ones so I can put my thermal socks on

mmmmm
