does antone know how much a dressmaker would charge to make a dress similar to this one?

that's fab. better option to buy it and get it altered. if you go to KM store, they may have alteration service.

have done this successfully with dresses as am diff sizes top/bottom.

I just altered a couple of BM dresses for a friend which were similar in cut to that - you need someone who is used to tailoring alterations to alter,because of the strapless type of top (friend gave one to a local dressmaker to alter and it came back in bits -took me 5 hrs to put it right)It would be cheaper to do that than have it made though -It can take hours just making the pattern for a dress.

Hi. My nephew (aged 6) is going to be my page boy in April. I'm looking for a dressmaker/taylor in East London who can make him some long shorts (fabric supplied) with a cumerbund. Any ideas? Thanks
