If you have a L'Oreal Steampod, does it really stop hair from going frizzy when you go outside?

I got my hair permed a few weeks ago as an experiment (thought it was the perfect time for a potential hair disaster given I'm currently only allowed to socialise with my parents!). I thought I might not like it and I think I probably don't although I'm still experimenting, trying to get the curls to work. Most of the time, however, I'm straightening it with my Revlon One Step and I've made huge progress. I've managed to get it to look really good with no frizz after styling when to begin with it was a big massive frizzball whatever I did. But then when I go outside it all goes to pot and my hairstyle is no more! I've read a few people saying that the L'Oreal Steampod stopped their hair from frizzing outside but one mumsnetter said it had done nothing, so I just wanted to ask more broadly - to those of you who have it and who struggle with frizz when you go outside, has it made a difference? I also brought some John Frieda no-frizz hairspray which I'm going to try next time I wash and style it but if that doesn't work I'm thinking the Steampod might be my only hope!

Watching with interest - I have naturally curly/frizzy hair and I've never found anything yet that stops it from going frizzy in cold weather, wet weather, humid weather . . .
