Pre-kids I would have been able to tell where people got stuff from
Now I see people and wonder where they shop

Where do you shop?

Sorry, not sure I understand what you are trying to find out...

Iamshy · 20/10/2007 17:23

I shop at Principles, as I have a staff discount before then I would shop at New Look and Asda and Tesco.

meandmy · 20/10/2007 17:27

new look, dp, tu (sainsburys), george, primark (if ony need it as quick wear once)

BrownSuga · 20/10/2007 18:26

mainly karen millen, ted baker, fcuk, diesel, 7

and try to find boutique stores for different things so i don't look like a clone... not very successful at this though. (also do a lot of searching online for quirky bits.... also not very successful!)

andyrobo237 · 20/10/2007 20:22

Wallis, New Look, DP and Primark / Matalan for basic work stuff - gone off Next

janeiteofthelivingdead · 20/10/2007 20:22

Warehouse for silk dresses; occasionally Zara for jumpers and shirts (the bottoms are all far too long for me); Gap for trousers and jeans; M & S Limited Collection for jumpers and wide-legged trousers and for basic tops; M & S generally for little black jumpers and cardigans; Boden for skirts and camisoles; occasionally bits from Oasis, especially silk camis and skirts.

Pickie · 20/10/2007 20:27

Oasis (only trousers that seem to fit my dutch ass rightly!), M&S, H&M, Hobbs and Primark,

boolepew · 20/10/2007 20:31

M & S, Dunnes, Primark, Tesco, George, sometimes Next if I'm feeling flush!

Pannacotta · 20/10/2007 20:37

Monsoon, Phase 8, H&M for basics, M&S Limited Collection and Autograph, Principles, Dotty P and Great Plains.

Top-Shop (for clothes/shoes/accessories)
Warehouse (lovely for posh night out stuff)
Zara (great for vests/jumpers/basics)
Oasis (all-sorts)
Kookai (occasionally some nice stuff)
New-Look (mainly shoes)
River Island (for accessories clothes are nasty)
Dune (love dune shoes when I can afford to splash out)

Gemy · 21/10/2007 20:51

Topshop for cheap fashion bits and skinny jeans
House of Fraser for designer jeans
Oasis for non-designer jeans and cute dresses and office-wear
Zara Women for jackets (Zara basic for cords, trouser suits again workwear really)
French connection for good quality items, though sometimes I go in and see nothing
Jisgaw for when I need something understated in decent fabrics and that exudes luxary and good stitching (and also when I want something a bit more refined and polished)
M&S Limited collection make for longer legs and arms, so good for me.

Oh and coast have some lovely feminine camisoles in silk and cute little blouses. The silk cami can be worn with so many different things (with jeans and sheer silk jersey wrap top/under tailored jacket for work night out/just peaking out under a big chunky cardigan to minumise frump effect of knitwear.

Also, anything I see if a magazine (vogue/grazia marie-claire whatever) I cut out and keep. Sometimes I buy these things and then every season I clear it out (and have a good giggle at some of the stuff I loved and now think Uuurgh!) but if I have the look created in my head, then buying the clothes to match this is easier.

Fimbo · 21/10/2007 20:57

Fat Face/White Stuff
Kew
Limited Collection @ M&S
New Look (for Hula jeans only!)
Next (again jeans mainly)
Zara
Monsoon

And a boutiquey type place when home in Scotland called Sam Thomas.

janeiteofthelivingdead · 21/10/2007 21:11

Gemy - I keep scrapbooks too but tend to find that everything I stick in there is either black or grey; or black and white, so they are probably not very exciting to look at!
