Heavy earrings wearers - do you buy those earlobe supports things and if so do they work?

I've asked for a few pairs of cheap but lovely dangly earrings for Christmas and reckon I will get some of them at least from my lovely family. I have no idea how heavy they'll be though - some of them look like they could be either heavy or light depending on the material used (metal mostly, I know it can be pretty variable). Should I buy some of those earlobe support things just in case? Can anyone vouch that they work and are some brands better than others? Don't want to be delighted on Christmas day then disappointed I can't actually wear half of what I asked for!

Tell me more! I’ve retired a pair of heavy earings that I otherwise love. Where are you looking at these?

bigmassivecoconut · 02/12/2020 16:00

I've come across them online - brands like lobe miracle, swan lobe and magicbax Procrastatron. They seem to get good reviews but I've bought plenty of products with good reviews online in the past that have turned out to actually be a bit rubbish so I was interested in hearing from mumsnetters. Nobody seems to have any advice though!

I’ve got ones like these from Claire’s and I find they work really well with heavier earrings (drop and stud). They stop the earring and post from tilting forward while in the lobe and allow the earring to sit flush and upright.

Thanks MooMinCow - I actually have some like that that came with some non heavy earrings. Will try them if the ones I get turn out to be on the heavy side.
