If you fake tan what is your regime/ brand of choice

I plan on wearing a dress in 2021 without leggings!!! 😮. This is unheard of for me. I’ve ordered a machine that will hopefully result in smooth legs, now I want to plan a fake tan regime (yes this is a first world problem).

If anyone considers themselves an expert on this subject I’d be grateful for advice? Would be great if the brand didn’t smell horrible but I’m not sure if all fake tan smells horrible 😷 if salons are allowed to be open next year is it better to have a spray tan and top it up at home?

My experience of fake tan in previous years has been streaky application and patchy as it disappears. I like the idea of a he gradual tanning regularly applied but the brands I tried just didn’t deliver.

I find the brands pretty much the same only some are orange and some are very dark brown. The St Moritz one is fine. I'm pale.

The ones that look blue or green when you put them on so you can see where you've covered are useful.

Bondi Sands. It’s brilliant. I use the foam but also like the dry oil mist. Don’t bother much in the winter, although maybe I’ll have a go Smile

I'm not too bothered about streaks. Marmalade is a better look than stilton Grin.

I’ve tried St Moritz and wasn’t a fan. I haven’t tried Bondi sands though!

I just use whatever catches my eye ok, in the clearance section in Boots or wherever but I've tried a few. The foam ones are best for being less streaky.
My most recently used on was St Tropez and it was fine. The gradual ones are probably more for a subtle colour.

Amanda Harrington is gorgeous but pricey

Láncome flash bronzer the OG for me. Vita Liberata also very good. Exfoliate and moisturise well the day before. I need to do this too OP, it can be a pain but does give a great boost!

Won't you be cold?

Frankiefrank · 01/12/2020 21:25

I find that Clarins is the best fake tan for me. Not at all streaky and very natural looking. But it still has that horrible fake tan smell.

I was hoping by spring/summer my legs might be acceptable to the human eye and I could slap some colour on then!

Skinny tan. I just exfoliate in the shower, slap the tan on and off I go. There’s lots of versions but I use the coconut serum one as it doesn’t have a guide colour and go don’t have to wash it off til your shower so I can put it on in the morning and let it develop over the day rather than put it on at night and it get all over my sheets.
