Not stylish, or beautiful recommendations for nhs work trousers and shoes

New uniform requires navy trousers. Does anyone have any recommendations, preferably pull on with a slight stretch.

Also comfortable shoes as on feet all day

I did buy some Clark's shoes, however they rub slightly on the right foot. Too late to return.

My friend works it retail. Always buys her trousers in sainsburys and her shoes from sketchers- works for her.

I always wore M&S Collection black pull on straight leg trousers . No zips or buttons , look smart , easy wash , hang to dry

Now in scrubs . Not fashionable or beautiful but functional

Shoes - Sketchers . Black lace up, non leather . Really comfy lightweight, soft bouncy sole (I only wear indoors , change into uniform at work)

NHS. Scrubs and New Balance trainers with insoles.

Clarks "Funny Dream" shoes. They have a retro look which may not be to everyone's taste but they are so comfortable and they have a very soft insole. I work alongside nursing staff and quite a few of the nurses wear them as work shoes. I bought mine in the sales and also have a pair from Amazon (although had to send one pair back as they'd very obviously been worn outside and then returned)

Ouch re the rubbing shoe, that’s a shame.
I have timberlands trainers they’re so comfortable
Colleagues wear sketchers, Nike,Adidas. Whatever works for you and is comfy non slip

Just had a look at the funny dreams shoe, and wondering if I can get away with the leopards print ones

I need shoes that I can wear outside, so need to suit all weathers at the moment.

Lands' End also have quite a few trouser styles in navy and with stretch, I'm sure I saw one in ponte fabric and there are some cotton/lycra ones. There is a discount promotion on some clothes at the moment too

I bought navy trousers from various department stores for years. All shops have them.

The truth is that scrubs are better when bending and stretching. I wouldn't go back now.

Currently wearing the Koi Laurie scrub trousers. Fully elasticated waist that doesn't fall down! They may be a bit thin for outside work though but there are thicker ones. Koi, Dickies and Cherokee are the big brands and all are on Amazon so there are loads of reviews to read.

In terms of shoes, most wear either Clarks, Eccos, Skechers or Asics. Some wear Brooks trainers but they're pricier. I wear Clarks Un Loop which are you will see on countless nurses feet - they are the most hideous things on earth 🤮 but my feet never get tired and I've had them 6 years and they're as good as new!

Hotter shoes in the "Dew "style.
Nurse working 13 hour shifts, and they're comfortable from the first wear ( I get the wide fit ones).

Do You buy your own scrubs?we get sets through work

I wear .marks and spencer leather boots for work as in the community so need something that copes in and out of the car all weathers

The nurses I know wear hotter mostly

Rural community physio. I wear Echo gore-tex shoes like this. Have tramped through many a farmyard and even rescued some sheep in those and didn’t end up with wet feet. Also good flexibility for kneeling down and getting up off the floor in.

Not sure if the link will work, but for trousers search on Ebay for nurse elasticated trousers. There are a few all around £9 a pair. Comfortable and stretchy, and wash fine at 60 as per uniform policy. Size up in length and possibly in waist too.
