What is the best way to get rid of lip hair?
I mean at home doing it by yourself

Wax strips for the face. They work really well and last a good while too.

Professional waxing - too wimpy to do it myself!

Wax strips are good but nowadays I just pluck with tweezers

The can be a bit painful but they work really well.

Microwaveable stripless wax has always been the most effective method for me. Plus the odd tweezer session here and there. But what I really want is a Phillips lumea.

I use those dermaplane razor things.
Always used veet but skin has become sensitive. Tried waxing. Can do my own legs fine but really struggled with upper lip.

I use sensitive veet. The regrowth is no different to waxing for me and I dislike the redness after waxing

For some reason, as I've gotten older, my facial hair has lessened. I used to use Nad's wax strips (I think Nad's is the best). But I don't need to wax nearly as much. I do it maybe twice a year.
Now I just use a dermaplane tool I bought off Amazon (great for the chin as well which is getting nice and wooly as I approach 50) and tweezers- really good tweezers.

I was told years ago by a beautician that the rush of blood through the blood vessels on the face when waxed can stimulate the growth so I got them lasered years ago, so glad I did. I know no good to you at moment but worth thinking about maybe.

Another vote here for a dermaplane razor

I have olive skin and dark hair. I shaved, shaved and lasered and self threaded..all are fine. Tgreading your own upper lips and chin is soooo easy, watch a youtube tutorial. Its like cats craddle. Waxing and bleaching were the worst! Horrid results.

Im not sure why but i just could not get the hang of derma planning razors!
Shaving causing dark hair is a myth.

I use the veet mini battery operated shaver thingy. It works fine, the hair doesn't grow back thicker, if that was the case than all men with thining hair would shave their head and have wonderful thick hair grow back! 😂 It's painless, easy, and once you've paid out for it it's then free. Not a close as a traditional razor but that's a good thing as I then don't get a rash or cuts.

Anything apart from Nair sensitive which I used last week and it's given me sore broken skin at the corners of my mouth, so relieved they've started to heal. Normally I have this threaded but I'm not comfortable with that at the moment.

Those springy things. Definitely the cheapest way anyway.

Lumea is fab but it can be tricky getting hairs right by the nose or right under the bottom lip due to the size/ shape of the window thing on it.

I used to get mine waxed but since lockdown 1 I alternate between Nair sensitive upper lip cream one time (I have sensitive skin and have never had a reaction) and Joleen cream bleach the following time.
Also found a fab product to tint eyebrows as mine are much lighter at the ends called Eylure (all products bought on Amazon as I am shielding).

Careful of waxing if you use any skin products with retinol in as it can take a layer of skin off with the wax (learnt this the hard way).
I now use the Flawless Hair Remover (basically like a small electric razor).
