How can I stop my silk dress clinging to my tights?

I've bought a beautiful second hand all saints dress, its silk, just above the knee with a wrap-over split skirt. I want to wear thick black tights with it but the skirt is clinging to them and riding up. Any ideas? An underskirt won't work due to the split.

Three things that work to some degree:
Rub body cream onto your hands and then over your tight clad legs
Spray hairspray up your skirt
Pin a small metal safety pin somewhere within the skirt... something to do with earthing the static

I’ve also read about using tumble dryer sheets and rubbing those over your tights

Ooh, one more thought... change the tights, cashmere or wool tights maybe?

Buy some Tumble Dryer Sheets and rub them over your thighs/tights.

Before you put it on, wipe a metal clothes hanger along the dress, it helps get rid of the static.

For me a slip underneath usually works

You could experiment with different pairs of tights. Some of the ones with a glossier finish to the fabric don’t seem to cause as much cling.

Wear Silk tights: same materials repel, different materials attract

Would a very short slip work. M&S do them in different lengths.
