Should I make an effort or just embrace my inner scruff?

DS is now at preschool where lots of the other mums are smartly dressed, wear skirts, suede boots, make up etc

I have yet to wean myself off trainers and jeans

My bro has just dropped off a sweatshirt for me... the kind I would usually happily wear but now I'm having doubts...

I know how you feel - I too am a natural scruff. I felt the same as dd1 started reception last month and I was dreading having to face a crowd of yummy mummies while I still look like I did as a student! I have to say I got myself some smart boots, new smarter jeans, and a few new tops, and a long belted black cardi and I felt a lot better for it. You have to treat yourself sometimes, especially if it helps you feel better! I would never/could never go the whole yummy mummy slog though = haven't got the time or energy!

yes yes, me too I'm afraid, I love the winter as big coats mean less getting dressed in the morning, and hats = no hair washing that day. [mine is curly and has to either dry naturally or be straightened, so you see wher I'm coming from lol]
I too shall lose baby weight before embarking on a newer scruffy version lol.
