Can anyone recommend a spicy perfume?

Just that really! Preferably not something hugely expensive or hard to get, but I’m open to trying anything really (well, lockdown permitting of course!)

Another vote for halfeti. Or jo Malone dark amber and ginger lily which is delicious.

It was mid 80s, it had a triangular bottle, and it smelled of Christmas

All had sort of triangular bottles ....don;t know what Tramp or Smithy smelled like but Rebel was definately spicy

( Red lid tall triangualar bottle , but maybe late 70s /early 80s ? )

If you actually want to smell like Christmas then Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant is what you want, I have an old bottle I hardly wear as it is a bit too much like a Christmas candle

I find Dior poison girl quite spicy x

I love Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf. Didn't realise it's meant for men but I don't care, it's gorgeous.

Loved Opium since the 80s but it's too strong for nowadays, however the body lotion is just right. I've just rediscovered a tube that I've had for years and smells amazing, but milder!

Definitely worth a try at around £5 a 100ml bottle

Black orchid by Tom Ford used it ever since it came out when itwasnt sold locally and i had to wait until i went to london to buy it in Harvey Nics,it is moremof an evening perfume though so this year because of stupid lockdowns it hasnt had much use.ive never lost my love for it.

Black opium is ligher than original Opium but still spicy and ok for daytime.

I love jo malone range, pomegranate noir is a woody/spicy scent, lasts all day on me! I’m sure you can shop by scent on the website and select spicy range.

Poivre 23 by Le Labo is strongly spicy and peppery but is expensive - you can buy little samples to try before you buy though.

Tobacco Absolute is lovely but more woody, herby and aromatic.
The Oudh Accord & Gold isn’t my favourite as it’s too strong but it has a lively cinnamon top note but it’s deep base notes have great staying power

Liz Earle no.15 is lovely, but doesn't last on me.

Aromatics Ekixir Clinique really lingers all day

@simiisme Oh my goodness, that could well be it! Thank you so much! From reading the descriptions on Fragrantica, the bottle shape and colour of the EDT of Parfum Rare fits, as does the date - I think I may have got it in late 1986 but that is possible because it was given to me by a magazine beauty editor who would have got it as a publicity sample. I’m going to hunt it down on eBay to see if the fragrance is how I remember 😊
