Superdrug colour effects wash in wash out

I am quite grey but been using light brown box dye but since lockdown have not done the roots with a view to going lighter/grey in the future.

Will the Superdrug cool blonde shade of wash in wash out be a good choice to lighten hair bit by bit and cover the grey roots?

The shampoo that tints your hair won't lighten your hair.

Hmm, back to the drawing board then. Just wanting something to lighten it up a bit so the greys dont show as much.

Maybe I should try a permanent dark blonde instead , thank you.
