How do you do eye make up?

Going to a wedding tomorrow wearing a black / dark green dress and black shoes. Sounds boring, well it is. Want to jolly things up by having superdramatic eyes and a fabulous face, any tips?? I have mid brown hair, ok skin and a round (heart shaped on a good day) face.

What colour eyes have you got?

I like to use a coloured eyeliner, I've got a lovely purple one and a nice green (not together obv!).

Or dramatic black eyeliner, best done with a liquid eyeliner imo. I think that this is meant to be "on trend" for a/w.

Metallics are also "in" so how about a lovely bronze eyeshadow?

I like the sound of the liquid liner if I can pull it off, I do have a lovely one (only black) but have never had the guts to wear it.

I have blue eyes tending to reddish rims (mmm don't I sound attractive). I have a sample of coppery eyeshadow from LilyLolo that looks lovely in the packet but there only enough for one application! So can't try out. Do you think coppery eyeshadown, black liner would go?

See what confuses me is lid / brow etc. Usually light colour on lid, dark in crease, then light again? By the time I blend my eyeshadow my eyes are going all pink from the rubbing.

I like those colour combos LaDiDa, the smoky greens. Would also go well with my smoky green jools for tomorrow.
