Anyone had lip fillers at Face&Body in Edinburgh (or anywhere else in central Scotland)?

I want a really subtle and completely natural look and just wondered if anyone had been to them for this? Alternatively, I'll take recommendations for other places in central Scotland.

I know two people.

One is Norma at surface beauty and another is Asthetica Dr Lily Anna.

Never been to either. Friend goes to one and DM to the other. Don't think either have lip fillers though but for other fillers/Botox.
Both are similar prices and both are happy with the results.
I think both are on IG

Thanks Girlintheframe - I'll check them out! I'd really love to find some recommendations for lip fillers specificially though. I don't want them to look fake.

I haven’t had them done but lots of people swear by Norma at Surface Beauty and she also helped dissolve a botched job on someone I know.

iwanttolookbetter · 15/10/2020 23:11

Thanks emma - she sounds worth contacting in that case. Shame she doesn't have photos of her work on her website!

I know a couple of people who’ve used one mentioned above and the work is less than subtle. Although that may be what they’ve asked for, they seem happy with it but it looks dreadful. They best I’ve seen, barely noticeable, just ‘fresher’ was by dr Nestor

iwanttolookbetter · 15/10/2020 23:27

Which one Mamagotskills? Norma? I've been to Dr Nestor for something else before and like him so that's good to know!

Yeah it was - they really rare her so I feel
Bad saying it but it’s definitely not natural looking. Again, that might be at their request

iwanttolookbetter · 15/10/2020 23:33

Thanks - all info is very much welcome! And yes, I realise that some people actually request the "done" look, although I can't for the life of me understand it!

Enhanced facial aesthetics in Larbert, she does a lot of lips and has great results with a huge number of positive reviews. She is on Instagram and Facebook so you can see for yourself, there are obviously done and natural options, depending on what has been requested.

I only go for a facials, but have seen a lot of the lip results and they have been fantastic.

thesoundofthepolice · 16/10/2020 02:47

I really rate Michelle at enhanced facial aesthetics. She's excellent so much so I travel through from Edinburgh for my injectables and I won't go anywhere else now.

I've also been to Norma at surface beauty who was also really good.

iwanttolookbetter · 16/10/2020 03:23

Oh my - two glowing reviews for the Larbert place but one comes with a recommendation for someone that has been harshly slated by someone else (while getting glowing reviews from several others!). So hard to know what to make of it all but I suppose the best thing to do is to book an appointment and a review shortly after so I can get them dissolved if they're awful! The Larbert place does sound like it might be the front runner but I'm now half expecting someone to come along and say to avoid it like the plague...

Hi , if you have a look at Dermal Clinic in Edinburgh... specifically Jackie .. I think she is the most award winning and from ordinal experience the most lovely and very natural practitioner in central Scotland .
Highly recommend

Thisimmortalcurl · 16/10/2020 03:34

“ from my experience “

iwanttolookbetter · 16/10/2020 05:11

Yeah, I know Jackie's place has won loads of awards. I used to go to her for a few treatments and really only started trying other places as it was a hassle to get there from where I am. Face&Body seemed to have one as many if not a few more awards and is easier to get to for me so that was the reason I was considering it but I'll have a ponder about Dermal clinic again.

Surface beauty is on IG if that helps

Longhairdonotcare · 16/10/2020 10:27

Let us know what you decide and your final results. Looking for negative reviews for the places might help, although some people really like the ‘done’ look so it might only be helpful alongside the pictures of results.
Good luck!

thesoundofthepolice · 16/10/2020 11:36

@iwanttolookbetter I think a lot of these places have customers who want the overdone/obvious look which then makes it difficult for people who want a natural look as the pictures of their work isn't what they're looking for.

My personal preference for enhanced facial aesthetics is purely because a lot of her clients go for a softer look and that's what I was after. Nothing too severe and obvious looking and that's what I got.

I think having a lot of pictures of the look you're after is key and a lot of discussion to make sure you get what you want.
