Has anyone bought from brand alley?

I have a relative who loves a certain brand and I've seen a gift for a good price on brand alley but I wondered if it would come in the brands box with dust bag etc? It wouldn't matter to me if it didn't but as it's a gift I'd prefer it not to should bought at a huge discount if at all possible Grin

When I ordered from them, the item never arrived. I contacted them & they apologised and said they would refund as they weren’t in stock. However, they were still advertising the item as available for sale and it took weeks of chasing for a refund & it seems I’m not the only one this happened to.
I imagine all the 5star reviews are fake.

I’ve never had a problem with them, one bag had no dustbag but jewellery has come boxed. My review is real! I’ve used them several times.

Prettybubblesintheair · 14/10/2020 15:56

Their postage is extortionate!

DannyGlickWindowTapping · 14/10/2020 16:06

I also ordered and some of the items didn't appear. Apparently out of stock, but they didn't contact me to tell me, I had to chase them. They were still advertising them. Took ages to get a refund, too.

RIBlue · 14/10/2020 16:06

I’ve had a Mulberry bag from them with full box and dust bags.

I’ve ordered a fair amount from them and never had a problem. Delivery can take a while which they don’t necessarily make clear, I followed up on an order after 12 days and they emailed straight back to say it would be X more number of days which it was!

redfoxlab · 14/10/2020 16:28

Oh no, went ahead and ordered thought I could get a nice Christmas box if it doesn't come with the branded one but now I'm nervous it won't come at all. Luckily I've paid with a credit card so if it's a no show I'll still get my money back but I'd be back to square one for a present idea.

Will teach me to wait for answers before acting too quickly for a bargain!

Yes, often! With no problem and got some great bargains.

redfoxlab · 14/10/2020 16:30

@AgnesNaismith hope I have the same experience as you 🤞

I've never had a problem with orders. Some items can be longer lead times but it's usually somewhere on that product page.

GinAtMerlottes · 14/10/2020 16:34

Yes often as well. No problems ever.

mrsfeatherbottom · 14/10/2020 16:35

I've never had problems - a bit slow but can't complain at the price!

teta · 14/10/2020 16:40

I've used them many times over several years. It used to take ages for things to arrive - months in some cases. But that has improved drastically & they always give you an estimate of the arrival date. Some things have gone o.o.s. & they gave refunded me without issue.
I've had so many bargains over the years but I do agree postage is high.

ConfusedDotty · 14/10/2020 16:40

I have used Brand Alley a few times for branded stuff. Delivery was excellent and all items I received were in their original branded packaging, boxes etc.

Happyheartlovelife · 14/10/2020 16:44

Their postage is just stupid

However their stuff is good

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 14/10/2020 16:51

I’m surprised to hear so many negative experiences - I order from them all the time (multiple times per month... Blush) and only once have I had one item from an order not arrive and they refunded straight away.

Returns are easy (though costly once you factor in the delivery charge and the return fee) and they always refund without any issues.

TriciaMcMillan · 14/10/2020 17:52

Yup, nothing but positive experiences here too. Fret not.Smile

MustWe · 14/10/2020 17:55

I’ve only ordered from them once and the item took weeks and weeks to arrive. Didn’t bother again after that.

Dinosauraddict · 14/10/2020 17:59

I use them for big purchases where you can save hundreds - often delivery takes weeks/months but never a problem with it eventually arriving. Never had to return anything. Always be happy with purchases.

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 14/10/2020 19:02

The thing to be aware of is you need to take note of the estimated delivery time of each item. Some things take a while for the supplier to despatch them but it does say on each item when it will be available. I suspect perhaps some of the people who said they waited ages for delivery didn’t realise that not all items are held in stock so they aren’t always despatched immediately.

StatisticallyChallenged · 14/10/2020 19:34

Ordered from them numerous times- no issues. Nornally stuff comes properly boxed/bagged - the only time that hasn't been the case has been something from the outlet section on clearance, which I think is generally returns.

Ordered everything from bags to shoes to towels to furniture

woodhill · 14/10/2020 19:41

Postage expensive and no free returns so I don't ever want to risk it with clothing

AuntieSocia1 · 23/10/2020 14:05

Thought I should update. Bag arrived! Really pleased with it. It didn't come in a branded box but the bag is so lovely I didn't mind, then taking some of the protective wrapping out I discovered a dust bag! Delighted, means I can put it in that and then get a Christmas box, which thinking about it I would probably have done anyway as the branded box would have had my address etc.

So sorry to anyone who's had a bad experience but I have to see I am really pleased and just wish the gift I bought was for me!!

AgnesNaismith · 23/10/2020 18:13

Grin pleased for you OP, just keep it Wink
