Looking for a ring like this...

Following a post I posted a few days ago about a signet ring, I’ve now decided to find a different kind of ring (as signet rings seem to be disliked/carry a rather negative association!). So I’d love some help in finding an alternative ring that has the features I’m looking for. It’s in memory of a late, special relation.

It needs to be solid silver. I’d like it to have a stone - either yellow citrine or blue topaz. Any hint of a theme of the sea or sun would be good, but not absolutely necessary. It will be to wear on my middle finger. I’m happy for it to be quite solid/chunky.

Thanks so much! x

www.davidaylinggoldsmith.com/category/rings does commissions too.

Georg Jenson do a lovely 'Savannah" ring.
It sounds similar to what you are looking for.

IceniWarrior · 13/10/2020 21:28

For me, I only like the first one.

Have you looked at Uno de 50.
The pic doesn't do it justice but gives you an idea of their style

Thanks so much for the continued suggestions - I’ve looked at all your lovely reccomendations! 😊

I’ve now narrowed it down to these two...thoughts? Just to remind, it’s to go on the middle finger of my right hand alongside quite a large teardrop-shaped gem on my ring finger. Thanks so much - am very grateful for all the help!

Ah, and I’ve found two more lovely ones! Right, will post pictures below of the FINAL 4 on my shortlist - would be great to hear your thoughts to help with my decision!

This lady is amazing. She made me a silver stacking ring with my dds birthstones. It was quite reasonable too I think about £300. She has a fb page too with lots of pics.

Ah, can’t seem to do that, so here are the other 2 to go with the ones above...

Oh, I love the one with the crossover setting, that's a clear winner for me.

IceniWarrior · 14/10/2020 14:19

Love the square one.

whitewineandmagnums · 14/10/2020 14:23

If none of them are EXACTLY what you want, why not get one made? That way it'll be even more special as it'll be a one-off. And getting it made is way cheaper than you might think!

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 14/10/2020 14:35

The square one is gorgeous

TwiggyStardust · 14/10/2020 15:14

@EerilyDeleted, do you mean this one? (One of the earlier ones could also be called a crossover style, I think!) If so, this seems to be the clear winner!

I like the Asscher cut one best - where's it from?

@LaurieFairyCake, it’s from LuoJewelry - I found them on Etsy.

Yes, that one. It's really eye-catching.

xanthippe8 · 14/10/2020 21:18

I know you've more or less made your mind up, OP, but have you had a look at Banyan?

MissMarplesHandbag · 14/10/2020 21:26

The last two ones you posted are gorgeous.
Can’t really decide between them!

IndieTara · 14/10/2020 22:47

Number 3 is beautiful

excelledyourself · 14/10/2020 23:37

Definitely the square one. Love that!

excelledyourself · 14/10/2020 23:37

The crossover square, to be clear.

Tryingtogetitright · 14/10/2020 23:45

The square one is gorgeous, but if you want something completely unique my friend is the jeweller at www.oaklandjewellery.com - she specialises in bespoke pieces and is amazingly talented! She would be able to design you something to remember your relative and sit perfectly alongside your other ring.

Shaniac · 14/10/2020 23:51

Cross over square one aka the last one you posted 100%. Its gorgeous.

PrincessForADay · 01/11/2020 21:05

I love the crossover citrine

foxtiger · 04/11/2020 20:00

My favourite is the middle one of your first 3 photos. I've actually got a moonstone ring in exactly the same sort of setting (only my stone is smooth, not faceted).
