I'm not naturally good looking but have worked hard over the years to learn every trick in the book to improve my appearance. To the extent that I'm now relatively happy with how I look when I'm wearing contacts. Problem is that I've just never worked out how to make myself look remotely presentable when I'm wearing glasses. I've made some progress over the years - after 30 years, I've finally found glasses that actually suit me and eyebrow makeup has also made a big difference. But my hair always looks beyond awful. I don't really understand it as it looks acceptable, and sometimes actually quite good when I'm wearing contacts but it just seems to be something about the way that it sits and the proportions of my face seeming different when I'm wearing glasses. I wear really heavy eye makeup with contacts which works for my face and seems to correct the fact that some aspects of my face are out of proportion (it makes my eyes look bigger and therefore my nose look smaller and also draws attention away from my mouth which I don't like (weird saggy kind of mouth and odd shaped top lip). But these things aren't corrected when I can't wear the heavy eye makeup with glasses (just doesn't work to any extent with any type of frame!). I feel I need professional help! Does anyone know any image consultants that are especially skilled with this kind of thing?
