High quality chunky knit wear like the White Company

Hi all.

Please can you help with finding some good, heavy weight, quality knit wear?Looking for plain colours; navy, white etc. Like the heavy weight cotton ones from the white company? Must be heavy duty and thick for the winter months. I usually buy some from the white company but I’m not really a fan of the ones online. Any price point welcome, no acrylic - only wool / cashmere please! Thanks 😊

Celtic & Co? Not cheap but good quality.

ZaraW · 08/10/2020 19:44

I bought this from Matches. Expensive but great quality

Do you ever click on a link someone's posted, see "25 people are viewing this right now" and wish there was a place to respond, "yeah buddy, it's all mumsnet!".

These meet the ‘chunky’ brief, some plain colours, would have to seriously love them for this kind of expenditure though: ridleylondon.com/collections/knitwear

Massimo Dutti have some fab knitwear at the moment. Plain colours, no fuss..

Elllllle · 09/10/2020 06:37

I've never bought from them but I keep getting ads for knitwear from Toast most which looks like it would fot your brief.

At those prices, I'd consider knitting my own. Smile

Have you seen The Knotty Ones? It’s based in Lithuania and employs women - mostly stay at home mums - and pays them a fair wage. Most stuff is hand knitted. Some good chunky jumper options! www.theknottyones.com/

these are on my Christmas list

Google Brora clearance - have some great things including cashmere.
If you want to go full price the Brora wool fairisle cardigans look amazing!

Lots of chunky wool/cotton mixes on the Poetry website.

GrouchyKiwi · 09/10/2020 14:35

I love Woolovers.

I have this one in a wine colour, and their giant coatigan in charcoal, though I need to replace that because my dog ruined it.

Have a look at &Daughter. Their jumpers are amazing quality but don't come cheap so more of an investment buy.

My best knitwear is Toast or Me+Em. In the sales! Plümo have some lovely (pricey) things too, eg this.

MikeUniformMike · 10/10/2020 09:41

Zinnia, get yourself some knitting needles and some chunky wool. That one would be quick to knit.
