Good value purple shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair?

I really like the Kevin Murphy blonde angel ones but at almost £45 for both it is too spendy!

My DSis claims that the ones they sell at Poundland, Superdrug and Wilkos do the job. And her hair is looking gorgeous! The most perfect shade of platinum grey - no brassiness.

Fudge! It smells nice, is reasonably priced and leaves hair soft not dry unlike some. And of course it does the job of eradicating brassiness!

Fanola no yellow! You can buy them as a set on Amazon for around £12 and the conditioner is the best I’ve ever used!

L’Oréal Purple Shampoo- I swear by it once a week and it keeps my blonde highlights from going warm/ brassy. I never bother with the conditioner though.

I love the Kevin Murphy ones too. I’ve tried them all and they really are the best.
In order to save a bit I now just use the conditioner (it has more toner in than the shampoo). I use it on dry hair once a week to tone it. It penetrates the hair better when it’s dry so the effect is greater. That way I can get 6 months + out of a bottle.
The best cheap alternative in my opinion is the Prevoke touch of silver shampoo and intensive conditioner. I don’t find the L’Oréal ones do anything at all.

I’d love to try these, but I’m nervous, do they turn your hair grey ? How long does it last ?

Elivive violet mask in a tub from boots is really great, and if you want shampoo Charles worthington is good, seems better than provoke to me. John frieda touch of violet seems useless to me although Brad mondo tested high street ones and said it was good.
KMS smells nice but doesn’t seem to do anything except leave me with hair that needs daily washing (I usually only wash twice a week).

Agree. Best purple shampoo barr none and it's pretty reasonable too.

They can give you a lilac cast if you leave them on too long, especially if your hair is very light blonde and/or knackered but you can get rid of that by washing it twice in normal shampoo. Nothing to be nervous about!

I buy PRovoke in Costco, every 3-4 weeks I apply the shampoo to dry hair and leave it for half an hour or so (I always have more shampoo than conditioner so it helps to use it up) and it really takes any yellowness out of my growing out highlights
