Spray on green canvas jeans from Chelsea Girl, anyone one remember this shop?

Bright green eyeliner and blue mascara and Mary Quant green nail varnish.

I started the trend for white leather boots with two layers of fringing at my school and this was the first time round...

School b/f wore bollock clenching green and black vertical striped trousers and smoked Menthol more cigarettes until someone told him he would become sterile! At which point converted to non Menthol Gitaines and parachute trousers in turquoise.

Happy days!

Ooohh Happy Daddy, I loved Camden Market, haven't been for years.

HappyDaddy · 11/10/2007 17:09

I never really liked it, too many "oh look at how alternative I am" types around. Got right on my tits.

I liked the electric ballroom, though. Used to by my import records from there.

lazycat · 11/10/2007 18:08

kensington market ruled. i bought some lovely tie dye things from there!

Pinkchampagne · 11/10/2007 18:10

Horrible bodysuit tops, paisley shirts, pepe jeans, baseball boots, black lycra skirts, chiffon shirts, trench coats, ski pants, frayed denim shorts, nasty pastel pink lipsticks, permed hair

Boco · 11/10/2007 18:14

Cherry red doc martins with rainbow laces worn with velvet hotpants and black tights, a vest and an old mans jacket. Hair dyed pillar box red and heavy black eye liner.

I was skinny, and once someone yelled 'Bernard your golf clubs have escaped!' at me in the street.

Tutter · 11/10/2007 18:15

in one outift:

pinstriped skintight jeans (oh yes)
yellow sweatshirt
denim waistcoat
flourescent leg warmers

AufishFeQueen · 11/10/2007 18:18

Reminder to all:

Flourescent towelling socks (ODD colours a MUST)
Body suits..... why???
Tartan green jacket
denim cut offs with thick tights (bum cheek on display)
Velvet play suit (ie boobtube combined with shorts for extra "style")

SenoraPostrophe · 11/10/2007 20:21

para boots
pink hats
various dresses that were falling to bits.
actually I still wear those dresses.

ILoveDolly · 11/10/2007 20:22

i still hide any pictures i find of my long phase of wearing floral charity shop maternity shirts as a dress with DMs and ripped up grey tights. Thought I looked like courtney love, actually looked like a stork in a jumble sale

dottydog · 11/10/2007 20:29

Black sand shoes @ college teamed with black leggings, along with a long black holey jumper that was perfectly normal b4 mum popped it into the drier and it came out all big and lovely (had to fish it out of the bin, no food scraps were present), the holes were already there.

TripletEm · 11/10/2007 20:31

A shell suit, but more embarrassingly it matched my now Dh's!!

Jazzicatz · 12/10/2007 09:43

I worked in Kensington Market for a while in my yoof, it was very cool!

littleboo · 12/10/2007 17:20

Think I was a bit split personality, as I had some Laura ashley, long skirt, frilly blouse plus punk boots, lace goves and scarves.... or black tight jeans, little pixie boots black shirt with tied sleeves and studded belt, .....not sure what was going on for me!!!

Seasider · 13/10/2007 08:20

littleboo. Had forgotten about Laura Ashley! At one point a mate and I used to actually queue outside for the sales with people who are now my age!! So many different styles, liked to think i was trend-setter
