What undies does your DS wear?

I was shopping for new undies for DS1 (5) and wondered what age was appropriate to switch to boxers. He wears briefs now.

My ds wears pants but considering he is in size 4-5 (which are almost too tight) and he is only just 2, I was considering boxers too.

Do the sizes come up any bigger? Seems ridiculous that I have to buy my 2yo ds size 5-6 pants!!

Boxers come up a lot bigger - I always find pants have to be bought a bit big.

I have to say that I buy my underwear a size bigger.

(that's my story and I am sticking to it!)

Perfectly normal question to ask, and if people are reduced to getting kicks about asking mothers what sort of pants their sons wear, then all I can say is that they obviously are inept at using the internet.

Jura - I agree trunks are Sweet.

I put my DS1 into them when he started school as I was worried about his PFB little arse getting cold playing in the playground if he couldn't be bothered to put his coat on (they come down past the tops of his thighs, aw) so DS2 followed suit.

DS wears either briefs or those close fitting boxers - not the baggy ones ... Jockey, I think the make is. He prefers the boxers.

Ok so they are called 'trunks'
