Very high coverage concealer

I have fairly good skin but incredibly dark circles under my eyes. If I wear a full coverage foundation plus concealer, I don’t look too bad but I would prefer not to use foundation (when the rest of my face doesn’t really need it) if I can find the right concealer?

I would use a colour corrector like the becca under eye one and then you'll need less concealer which looks a bit more natural if you're not using foundation
If you're adamant you want full coverage Grin then the kevyn aucoin sensual skin enhancer but beware, you need a rice grain to do both eyes, if that

Coffeepot72 · 03/10/2020 07:33

Thank you, that looks interesting

The Chanel rose colour corrector is good. It’s got a gel like formula so while it’s very good at concealing it’s not thick and cakey. Like you I’ve got good skin but quite bad dark circles and I’ve tried loads. I’ve found this to be the best.

IDontMindMarmite · 03/10/2020 07:52

Hello, I have dark eye circles too, was gutted recently when someone genuinely thought I had a bruised eye. I have been really impressed with this colour corrector plus NARS concealer on top. I use a make up sponge to blend them in and you don't have to use foundation as well providing your concealer colour is accurate.

Coffeepot72 · 03/10/2020 07:55

@IDontMindMarmite which shade of the Sleek corrector do you use?

Tarte Shape Tape. Love it.

Tried everything!

IDontMindMarmite · 03/10/2020 08:03

I bought all of them lol. The orange one which is called Ditch Dark Circles is the best and the one i'd buy again for this purpose.

Becca under eye

Trinny's BFF eye is fab.

DevonBird9 · 03/10/2020 08:19

MAC Prolongwear or Tarte Shape Tape!

frugalkitty · 03/10/2020 08:23

The best combo I've found is the Becca corrector and Tarte Shape Tape or Mac Longwear to conceal.

Have you tried cutting out eating gluten? Within 3 weeks the dark circles I had struggled to conceal for years were gone.

Coffeepot72 · 03/10/2020 13:03

@duddle sadly I’ve dark circles my whole life so I don’t think it’s a dietary thing?

duddle · 03/10/2020 13:32

Ah me too. It took till I was mid 30s to figure out it was the gluten doing it to me! Anyway worth a mention hope you find something that works for you.

Mine are absolutely hereditary. I’ve low carbed, been dairy free and vegetarian and they never change.

Vichy

RWK29 · 04/10/2020 02:48

@Coffeepot72 A cheap option...have you tried Collection Lasting Perfection concealer? I love higher end make up and have tried loads of concealers and still buy the Collection one religiously! Is a slightly damp Real Techniques blending sponge to apply 😊

RonaldMcDonald · 04/10/2020 02:59

Have you considered filler?
My sil had circles of doom. Used filler and they are gone completely

IDontMindMarmite · 04/10/2020 08:56

Really? Interesting.

IDontMindMarmite · 04/10/2020 09:16

I just did a quick google and the before/after pic wasn't compelling. And its temporary.

I've had this filler done and it's lasted over a year
RonaldMcDonald · 05/10/2020 01:19

It’s a lot less temporary that concealer!
It can last up to 2 yrs and worked brilliantly for her

Girlintheframe · 05/10/2020 08:38

Bobbi brown have a corrector and concealer combo.
Often I can get away with just the corrector on its own
