Shirts/blouses to wear for interviews in creative industry (not too formal!)

I plan to pair a shirt or blouse with either the Saint + Sofia wide leg black trousers or a pair of tapered black H&M trousers for interviews. It's over a decade since I had an interview. What sort of shirt/blouse should I wear? Do I need to wear a formal jacket?

It feels unnecessary to wear a jacket and I'm conscious of looking too formal for jobs in offices that are actually fairly relaxed in terms of dress.

depends what part of creative industries and sort of what age (as recent grads in creative industries all seem to wear jeans and trainers no matter what).

what about a sezane style blouse?

I was watching call my agent recently and thinking that that would be my sartorial blueprint if i ever could be arsed to go back in house.

I'd go for something eye catching and flowy. Large prints. I noticed some nice tops from Crew Clothing recently.

I have a couple of nice shirts from Hush

Yes, what sort of creative industry?

Is this a zoom interview?

You definitely don’t need a jacket. Would you wear silk? Stories have some nice silk shirts. I have a silk/viscose blend one from there in black with a small star print and gathered sleeves that I wore to my last interview.

Oh I'll definitely look at Stories, yes I'd wear silk. Your shirt sounds lovely and thanks for confirming no jacket necessary. Times have moved on so much since I was a grad!
