Like the shape of the lily dress, but worried you may resemble a wasp with those stripes in those colours... sorry.

The other one is horrible. I used to work in an old folks home and it reminds me of the nylon dresses the oldies wore.

And I don't like dry clean only clothes either.

So... shape of lily dress = lovely. But in another colour if poss.

Hope you don't mind my honesty.

themoon66 · 10/10/2007 17:32

#ah... now the link to the poplar dress works.... and its nice best of the lot.

susiemj · 10/10/2007 17:37

1st one is my favourite but I think they've got nicer ones in the same sort of style in Monsoon TBH. Have a look?

ComeOVeneer · 10/10/2007 17:37

I agree the one that you had to re link is by far the nicest. The second one is vile (sorry). The 3rd one is not bad, but the stripes are a bit harsh on the eyes.

MaryAnnSingletomb · 10/10/2007 17:47

oh, now prefer the Orla kiely one !

BadHousekeeping · 10/10/2007 17:47

No thanks for being honest. I wasn't sure about the second one until I saw it on the model and thought it looked quite nice but I'm no model anyway, so the first one I think it might be. I'm quite flat chested so don't want anything too low.
I will take a look at monsoon, but I tried about a dozen dresses on there at the beginning of the summer for my holiday and non of them fitted (lack of boobs!)

Monsoon can be a bit of an odd fit, it's true.

MascaraOHara · 10/10/2007 19:10

2nd one is awful, third is ok but the strips might make you look very wide if you are big around the hips.

The first one (relinked) is a nice shape.

AnnabelCaramel · 10/10/2007 19:12

First one definitely.

pointydog · 10/10/2007 19:19

I couldn't wear 'cutlery print' with a straight face. And I don't think I could see it on someone else with a straight face.

AnnabelCaramel · 10/10/2007 19:21

Oooh...I hadn't noticed the print. I do like the style and the colour but now pointdog has pointed that out it is a bit...well..maybe 'themed'???

AnnabelCaramel · 10/10/2007 19:22

pointYdog. Blimey I'm doing everything too quickly.

BadHousekeeping · 10/10/2007 19:41

I guess it won't be to everyones taste but I do really like Orla Kiely prints - I like the stuff with the glass tumbler print on aswell.

I like the Toast one called lilly, think it's very pretty

SpookyBearistheSpookyBear · 10/10/2007 20:00

I think the 2nd one looks like it might look a bit crappy on the hanger but fantastic on.

Convinced it is nicer than the 1st one.

3rd one is a lovely shape, but maybe a bit sumery.
