Off on holiday next week - Bikini and dress ideas for big bellies please!

So DH and I are off on our first ever child free holiday (eldest is 24!) next week.

I’m trying to find summer dresses and bikinis which will hide my 5 baby belly! Ideally cheap stuff (which doesn’t look cheap) as I’ve lost a lot of weight and am still losing so I don’t expect to wear any of it again next summer as it’ll be too big. I’ll need a few posh dresses for evening too.

I’m currently a size 14/16 (5ft 8) due to belly and hips. I really want to wear a bikini to make the most of getting a tan but need something very high waisted that pulls me in.

Any ideas much appreciated.

I would go mix and match. Bikini tops in say navy with different colours and couple pairs of high waisted bottoms in navy if that makes sense? Or any other colours to suit. Just pick the darker colour in your top for the bottoms. Sainsburys do nice bits . Dress wise maybe shift type with a throw for evening. From someone who is chunky and always worried too much about holiday clothes no one really notices . Xx enjoy

I would look at peacocks, matalan, m and Co for reasonable price swimwear and dresses.

H&M have plenty of high waisted bikini bottoms - you can mix and match with their tops. I'd go for plain black.

They probably have some dresses in the sale too

But honestly just wear the bikini style you like - no one else will care! I used to worry about my stomach and wore high waisted but now I just go for a bikini brief style as I feel more comfy in that

I have a few high waisted ones, have some from Pour Moi and my favourite one is Floozy from Dembenhams.
