Liking for suggestions on what to wear with this skirt.

I'm only 5'2 so need a little bit of height, but can't wear heels.

The link takes to the women clothes rather than shows a particular skirt, at least on my mobile.

Or feel free to tell me I'll look ridiculous I'm a size 14-16 so can look very short and dumpy.

I'm 5'2 and have a faux leather midi pencil skirt, which I wear with light grey Nike vapormax trainers (I walk a lot).

I also wear it with nude heels if dressing it up.

If wearing dark tights, I'd wear it with black heels or ankle boots.

What style of ankle boot do you wear.

To be honest almost any type of footwear would go with that skirt

RiskIt4Biscuit · 29/09/2020 11:25

Any ankle boot would work - Chelsea boots, taller ankle boots, sock boots, heeled and flat. Most shoes and boots will go with the skirt.

I have some black Chelsea boots and a pair of burgundy high heeled taller (bit longer than ankle boots, but not mid calf) ankle boots that I will wear with the skirt.

Try having a look at Pinterest - search for black leather skirt outfits and you'll find loads of pictures.

You say anything will go but I have very short legs, Chelsea boots would definately not work.

In fact I think I'm after something a bit dressy but not high.

I have short legs too. I can wear black ankle boots with black tights, as they seem to take away the shortening effect.
Otherwise black knee-high boots.

Imtoooldforallthis · 29/09/2020 11:53

I could wear Chelsea boots tight with a shorter skirt/dress, but not with that length I don't think.

I think pointy toe flats would be the only style of flat shoe I'd be able to wear with that skirt (fellow short person!).

baubled · 29/09/2020 19:46

I'm 5ft 2, size 10-12 and would have to wear a good size court with it being that length, looks like it's fairly long for a midi!

Have you clicked on the "shop the look button"? It gives the below option for heels which aren't too high, have a strap for security and a good chunk heel!

I’d go for ballet flats. I note that you said you need height, but as you don’t want heels, why not give them a go?
