if you have a Seasalt plant hunter or Janelle - I have a hood question

Is it a decent sized hood? I have a big mop of curly hair and it is very important that the hood covers my hole head and no head/hair sticks put! on the pics it looks a bit small...

bump - half of Mumsnet is raving about Seasalt. Someone must be putting the hood up in the rain...

I like the hood as it's well shaped and doesn't obscure vision or fall off and keeps me dry. But I have small hair (fine wavy bob) so can't help with whether it has enough volume for yours 🙁 Sorry!

I have the Planthunter (a couple of years old but I assume the style/pattern hasn't changed) and it's definitely a good sized hood. I used to wear my hair up on a bun and it was still fine.

Janelle covers my giant hair and keeps my specs dry

Janelle is a great coat, personally I don’t think it’s the most stylish but absolutely unbeatable in the rain. That combined with long wellies = warm comfy dry.

Janelle - hood is huge and apparently I have a big head (horse riding hats!)

Thanks for mentioning Seasalt, I had never looked at their stuff, I didn't know some goes up to such generous sizings. I'm going to be on there all night making a shopping list 😀

Janelle has an excellent hood, my hair is quite thick and long and fits no problems.

The hood is big but it falls back

I have a Janelle.
I have quite a small head & I spend the whole time flipping the front of the hood up to see when I walk with it up because the hood is massive on me..
You could easily have a thick hat under it or wear your hair up & still pull the hood up over it.

I have the Planter coat and the hood is big. I have quite big hair sometimes, esp when just washed and dried, and when I have it twisted up the hood still covers my had fully. Actually, it's better when I have my hair up as then it sort of lifts the hood up a bit and I can see better. I do wear a baseball cap on very wet days, but only because I wear glasses and hate them getting rained on.
The only thing I don't like about the coat is the pockets. I sometimes forget to popper them shut so the rain goes in and soaks everything in there :(.
