Skincare and make up to prevent stinging, watery eyes

My eyes water terribly and sting when I wear moisturiser/make up. I need a bit of a refresh, to try different brands to see if there are any I can wear without having a reaction. Recommendations please for sensitive brands or specific products, I will need to buy:

  • facial SPF
  • serums
  • day cream
  • night cream
  • eye cream
  • foundation
  • concealer
  • mascara

Thanks in advance for any advice/ help!

I suffer terribly with eczema around my eyes since having a terrible reaction to some nivea wipes a few years back.

I've only found Avene that doesn't cause me to flair up. I use their moisturiser and eye cream.

Make up I use urban decay mascara and a naked palette eyeshadow both of which don't cause me any issues.

I would look at the French pharmacy brands - Avene, La Roche Posay.
La Roche Posay has makeup for sensitive eyes.

I’d also have a look at Clinique - I think their makeup is supposed to be good for sensitive eyes.

For mascara specifically, I would look at tubing mascara. It is a polymer formula, rather than wax, and doesn’t smudge, flake or smear, and it removes with warm water.
Clinique has one called Lash Power, Estee Lauder has two in their Double Wear range.
There are a lot more tubing mascaras on the market at all price points, but I haven’t kept up to date with which ones are good.

@riskit4biscuit thanks so much! I've had a look online today and boots and superdrug had offers on Avene and La Roche Posey so I've treated myself to a few bits! Fingers crossed it will help. I ordered some clinique foundation too. I'll look into the tubing mascaras, I didnt know about them!

I previously had really bad watery eyes, now use Bobbi brown mascara and Charlotte Tilbury gel eyeshadow. Both great.
