Would you still wear EL Beautiful or is it "too much" now?

Just a tiny spray on one wrist and disperse it all around other wrist, neck, cleavage , hair.
I still love the smell but aware it's got legs and then some Grin

It's a classic. It's timeless. Just look at the popularity of Chanel no.5.
If you love it it's never out of date.

motherofgod2 · 17/09/2020 21:06

I have and wear it. I love it

TheSeedsOfADream · 17/09/2020 21:09

I love it still. It's massive but fabulous. It reminds me of another powerhouse that I love still -Safari by RL.
I only wear a tiny bit of both but they're still wonderful

NancyBotwinBloom · 17/09/2020 21:21

I've never heard of it.

What does it smell like? Who makes it?

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 17/09/2020 21:28

i love it - wear it all the time. love an 80's room clearer!

Smidge001 · 17/09/2020 21:28

El =Estee lauder

JMAngel1 · 17/09/2020 21:53

Its one of my favourite perfumes. I think I need to treat myself.

MrsMoastyToasty · 17/09/2020 21:57

Poison was the 1980's room clearer. I remember going to the top floor of my local Debenhams the year it was launched and being able to smell it being sprayed on the wrists of the local teenage girls 4 floors below.

Beamur · 17/09/2020 22:01

I think it's a classic scent. Just don't put too much on.

quarentini · 17/09/2020 22:03

This was the perfume my dad always bought for me. I still love it and wear it often.
It's scent evokes so many memories

YorkieTheRabbit · 17/09/2020 22:03

Poison was aptly named Envy early 90’sI got a train from Leeds to Huddersfield one day someone had the stench of poison on. Had a migraine by the time the train pulled into Huddersfield station vilest perfume out there.
Used to love EL Beautiful Smile

Ifonlyiweretaller · 17/09/2020 22:11

I've literally just used it for the first time today - given as a gift - but I put way too much on! Will give it the "less is more" approach tomorrow as I think (hope) I might like it when not so strong...

abstractzebra · 17/09/2020 22:21

I still wear Youth Dew!
It seems to suit my skin and doesn't fade away and change over time.
It also reminds me a bit of ginger beer 😋

CokeEnStock · 17/09/2020 22:29

I love it. And Ysatis. Less is more 😀 My other fave is Trésor but that seems really strong in comparison.

Laiste · 17/09/2020 22:31

I'm going to try it next time i'm out and about 'cos my skin seems to suck perfume in never to be smelt again. A strong squirt of this might actually stay sniffable!

JMAngel1 · 18/09/2020 11:14

Ok guys so this morning DH told me I smelt nice - he hasn't said that in years.
I sprayed one tiny spray last night and he could still smell it this morning in bed Grin
I'm back on Beautiful.

Apparently it reminds some people of coca cola! I love (and have) almost all the perfumes on this thread.
abstractzebra · 19/09/2020 10:01

Yes! Definitely some sort of fizzy drink!
Some time ago there was a Youth Dew Amber Nude and that definitely reminded me of ginger beer.
It disappeared quite quickly though.
Somebody told me it was due to a disagreement with whoever created it and they left the company.
Sad, as it was lovely Sad

SueblueNZ · 19/09/2020 23:10

I love Youth Dew but need to be very light handed with it as the scent is very strong.
My all-time favourite that I have returned to over the years is White Linen by EL.
These days the way I apply perfume is to spray the air in front of me at about neck height then walk through it frontwards and backwards. That gives a gentle and subtle application on skin, underwear and hair.
