Best home hair toner for icy white hair?

Just that really. I get a scalp bleach/all over toner done every 6-8wks, but could definitely do with a toner freshener about midway through. I have naturally pretty dark hair and get it very icy/ashy blonde

Would love to know.

I’ve used pretty much everything in market with average at best results.

Hopeful bump for the morning crowd...

Bold Uniq is what you want - you can get on Amazon.

I make my own, most store bought ones are not strong enough for me. Mix violet directions dye with any white conditioner.

LivingoffCoffee · 14/09/2020 12:05

@LadyOfTheCanyon ooo that looks promising! Do you use the shampoo or the conditioner/mask?

I use the mask. It's the best I've found to get a really ashy white tone.

LivingoffCoffee · 14/09/2020 14:59

Thanks @LadyOfTheCanyon will give it a try!

Just coming back to this as I bought some bold uniq based on @ladyofthecanyon recommendation.

Really pleased - just as good as the toner my hairdresser now charges me the best part of £100 for and I haven’t wasted three hours faffing at hairdressers.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 19/10/2020 11:24

It's good, isn't it!

Can it be used on heavily highlighted hair : (some just whiteish bleach) to tone down brassiness please? :)

A vote for Maria Nila colour refresh in silver pearl - my hair care guru friend swears by it to maintain her amazingly icy bleach job. I use one of the other shades to tone mine.

It's gentle in the hair and is vegan and cruelty free.
