Jersey dress and boots for winter - for someone stuck in a rut

I am in a fashion rut. I never wear dresses or skirts. I'm early 40's, 5ft 9, and a size 14.

I really fancy a nice jersey dress with tights and boots for winter. Can anyone recommend a nice shop for jersey dresses? Also, better with high boots or ankle boots?

I suppose it depends on your budget, but I get mine from Boden. They are flattering shapes and fabrics. Personally I wear ankle boots because I find them more versatile but you can do higher if you prefer.

FatFace, White Stuff, Gap, People Tree, Hush...but you need to check length- I have plenty of jersey dresses, but I'm 5'0" so they'd be tunics on you!

Seasalt are a fraction cheaper than Boden

Joe browns?
Depends what takes your fancy and how casual or smart

If you're not a boring person like me, who only wears plain clothing, you might like desigual- I think they work better on taller people, and very colourful.

Another vote for Boden, they have a good sale at the moment and I've recently several jersey dresses. They have plain or pretty prints and more comfortable than wearing jeans!

Another vote for Boden. I really like the quality of their jersey fabrics.
