Looking at this photo, how would you describe the top half?

Do you think it’s just a fitted denim shirt or do you think it’s a body? I have just bought a really nice length white skirt and was looking for ideas for the top half and really like the denim look.

This is always my bug bear - to tuck a shirt in, there is always added bulk to waist and hips not to mention colour showing through a white skirt. In an ideal world it would be a body. You could always buy a fitted shirt and cut it off just below the waist?

So many of these styled outfits are adjusted for the photo. Like a butterfly clip at the back etc. The white skirt I picked up is from Papaya and it’s just very very flattering. So far I cannot find a top that I own that works with it 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's a cropped, fitted Denim shirt that's then been rolled under to fit the skirt length - the thicker line of the hemline shows this.

Probably quite uncomfortable to wear as it's been styled.
