The weirdest jumper of the season.

Boden, why?

Two zebras nuzzling your breasts. Unlikely to be a good look for anyone above an A-cup...

And if there is even a hint of a wobble, they'll look like their talking to each other.

The weirdest jumper of the season.

They're. Damn autocorrect.

I used to be able to flick through a Boden catalogue and want something, or several things, from every page. Now I mostly bin it...

LaurieFairyCake · 09/09/2020 07:53

I go through it and think what will be in the reduced section at the end of the season Grin

That jumper makes that list...

BillywilliamV · 09/09/2020 07:53

Never sure why grown women are meant to want to wear toddler clothes!

justanotherneighinparadise · 09/09/2020 08:06

I guess the people who want to be seem to be wearing Boden will feel that that’s a very ‘statement piece’ I guess it depends on what your objectives are.

Reminds me of Absolutely Fabulous where Edina was constantly dripping in Christian Lacroix.

Ellapaella · 09/09/2020 09:50

😂

dontgobaconmyheart · 09/09/2020 18:32

I don't buy from Boden anyway but that looks like something you'd order from SHEIN (etc) after a few Wine

Redshoeblueshoe · 09/09/2020 18:35

I agree with Billywilliam perfect for a toddler

AnaViaSalamanca · 09/09/2020 18:41

What an eye and a mind you have OP Grin I can't unsee it now, the breast thing... I wonder if it's the designer's idea of a joke

Lemonsole · 09/09/2020 19:03

@AnaViaSalamanca a designer, chortling like a drain, knowing that Jonny has paid good money for it, and that others will, too. Smile

I keep giggling at it. Blush

I just got the Boden catalogue and there was literally nothing in there I would wear.

crumbleonsunday · 09/09/2020 22:43

I used to buy so much from Boden. Not now!

NotMoreFootball · 10/09/2020 00:23

I knew it was going to be that jumper before I'd even opened your post! Had a Boden catalogue in the mail today and that made me laugh out loud when I saw it!

BlackSwan · 10/09/2020 00:34

That’s ugly, they’re not even the right colour.

Who approved that?
I always look at a model’s expression to see if they’re leaking any opinion about what’s been thrown on them. There’s amusement mixed with disdain in this one.

Nope, that's a sneer. And I don't blame her.

Never saw the point to Boden, awful stuff, weird sizing.

Susannahmoody · 10/09/2020 01:44

Who wears that?

Stopyourhavering64 · 10/09/2020 02:15

Boden 10-15yrs ago was brilliant and I still have some classic cashmere sweaters from then, lurking in my cupboards ....now there's nothing that excites me and it's all ephemeral weird pieces like this

Councilworker · 10/09/2020 02:36

This model is clearly thinking "can I take this off yet?"
I used to like quite a bit of Boden stuff. Now they appear to be designing tops based on my migraines

It is a shame that a lot of their clothes are so childish/clownish, because I find the sizing and shapes really nice. I just want everything to be black!

Standrewsschool · 10/09/2020 07:20

Probably looked good on paper.

Brogues · 10/09/2020 07:20

I love it. I have seen a nicer one with tigers on though.

ClinkyMonkey · 10/09/2020 10:03

Sometimes Boden's advertising comes up on my Facebook feed and I'm not quite sure if the clothes are for adults or children. Some of the stuff looks like one of those optical illusions where you go cross eyed watching the lines morphing into a hidden shape.

People wore jumpers like that in the early eighties (ahem, possibly me). Oh how we laughed looking back at them .... Grin

MissFitton · 10/09/2020 10:07

In the 1980s as a pre-teen I used to have a sweatshirt with a giraffe on it, the neck disappeared over your shoulder and appeared over the other side. It was a gold giraffe. This reminds me of that, but my 1980s top from Adams was better.

yetanothernamitynamechange · 10/09/2020 11:14

I would never normally buy that. But now you've pointed out that when worn it would look like the zebras were talking to each other I really want it.

ramarama · 10/09/2020 11:20

Saw the title thread and already knew this would be about the zebra jumper!

Thing is, I bet this jumper would look quite cool if I saw it on some stylish East London 21 year old, worn with denim cutoffs and docs, some red lipstick. Sort of retro animal 80s chic, no?

But on 30 something Boden mum over a button up shirt?? FFS Grin
