What the heck school demands black high waist extra skinny jeans as uniform? Hmm

whirlwindwallaby · 27/08/2020 20:36

Jeans? Is it a no uniform school? M&S do extra long school trousers, so you can buy a smaller size, then they have an adjustable waist too.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 27/08/2020 20:37

I've found Abercrombie jeans are great for my super skinny 12 year old. They do a range of different cuts including high rise super skinny.

Cinderellashoes · 27/08/2020 20:38

Primark do size 4? Why does she need jeans for school just out of interest?

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/08/2020 20:39

New look do petite super skinnies in a size 6 if that helps.
My Dd went ti a non uniform school so it's possible the OP's Dd does too.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 27/08/2020 20:40

@Echobelly it may be that they need to be super skinny to fit like normal jeans or trousers would. I have to buy super skinny school trousers for my DD even though that style are technically banned at school. They just look like regular fit on her though.

cleowasmycat · 27/08/2020 20:46

She is in year 8. There is a uniform, they have school specific polo shirts and sweatshirts but wear black jeans.

How tall is she?

whirlwindwallaby · 27/08/2020 20:50

Hollister go down to a 23 inch waist, size 4.

cleowasmycat · 27/08/2020 20:59

She's 4'11. She's a dancer and gymnast hence the skinniness

As the owner of a 20inch waisted 11 yr old, it's impossible. And jeans are the worse, as the fabric bunches if you find adjustable ones.
Jeans are also a pain to alter, but do you know a decent seamstress??

Miss Selfridge does petite size 4 jeans and their sizing typically runs small too.

Echobelly · 27/08/2020 21:23

Gotcha @AngelsWithSilverWings - we have kind of the opposite problem. DD wants to wear trousers but her school insists on only one style for girls that has a really narrow, really thick, high waistband that would only fit girls with tiny, long waists and DD (who is totally slim and normal weight) can barely wear the biggest size - so hardly any girls wear them. I'd swear those trousers will give some girls eating disorders Shock We've just ordered her a 'boys' style, and if anyone notices we'll tell the school why!

@cleowasmycat ASOS do a petite size 2 and Topshop do a petite size 4 which are a godsend for skinny tweens.

ShaunaTheSheep · 31/08/2020 06:21

New Look 915 girls range
Hollister XXS
Top Shop petite in the smallest size

SarahBellam · 31/08/2020 06:26

Try Zara. I just got my 4’11” tiny gymnast 14yo DD a fantastic pair of skinny white jeans in the kids section. They have an adjustable waist if needed.

cravingthelook · 31/08/2020 07:04

H&M jeggings ... only ones my wee dancer can wear

Macarena1990 · 31/08/2020 07:08

Topshop do a size 4 petite. My daughter is a similar size and their jonis, mom and Jamie's fit her
