Perleease

I am a size 8-10 with silly skinny legs I have found some flat boots that are not too bad with tights ect... But I want some heeled boots higher than ankle though and cheap as poss. Not too winkle picker looking as I have wide toes

The only shop that does excellent boots made to measure is Duo. Go to the website and have a look. Sorry, they're not cheap but they will last you a very long time.

Second Duo - they are lovely boots and make me feel

magnolia74 · 06/10/2007 08:52

I can't afford them

Dammit, I was about to come on with duo as well. They are lush. I think Laredoute do some boots with a calf width range, might only be wider though.

I don't know any particular brand, but the best boots for you would be the elasticated ones. I'm sure that lots of people do them. Have a friend with similar legs to yours, and she always wears these kind of boots.

I have tried elasticated but they fall down

Sorry Magnolia, maybe you can save up for Duo? Or, buy some normal ones and take them to a good cobbler and see if they can be altered? (of course, you risk them being ruined)

P.S Jones the Bootmaker do this, but some boots will take alternation better than others, and also not sure if the total cost would come to the same as Duo anyway....

Duo Duo Duo - They are worth every penny.

Alternation?!! Sorry alteration
