Anybody had any luck dyeing their hair with coffee?

and if so, can you give me any tips please ?

I tried today and it was a fail. I followed the instructions using espresso coffee and some extra ground coffee and mixed it with leave in conditioner.. and left it in for an hour and rinsed.

It did not work. My hair feels nice to touch but it is still grey :(

Or, has anyone had any luck using tea or similar. I would be grateful as I do not want to use box dyes anymore even though there is one sitting on my counter top waiting to be applied.

Could you try a dark brown henna? The most coffee is going to do is stain your hair, and it’ll wash out in 2/3 washes.

I have thought about Henna but I had high hopes for the coffee. It did say you need to apply it more than once for better effect. I just thought I must have done something wrong and admittedly it got very messy. I had to apply it in the shower.
