Skirt wearers - what sort of tops are you wearing with your skirts this year?

I wear lots of trousers and I do wear dresses but I also like my skirts. But with all these long length tops around everywhere still (and it seems to be what I bought in the summer) I can't find anything to go with a skirt. I tend to shop at the cheap end of the high street.

I agree bozza it is a problem. T-shirts with another top layered underneath is ok

snug v-neck jumper ...quite dull really

I have done a bit of that franny but I find actual t-shirts (ie crew-necks) don't suit me because I am wide of shoulder. But I have done it with a scoop neck top, over another scoop neck but long sleeved top, or a vest (the not strappy kind) over a top. I have also done the v-neck jumper (sometimes with a vest underneath) as well.

I just wondered if there was something I was missing. All the interesting tops don't seem to work with skirts.

Nope I agree

I sometimes wear a crinkly shirt with or without a top underneath. But that is not very exciting, either

woolly tank top? A waistcoat thing?

I have got a plain grey tank top that I sometimes wear with a white shirt with 3/4 sleeves and double cuffs underneath. Maybe I should invest in another?

Cardigans all the way with or without strappy vest tops underneath. Round or V neck in style. love'em. DP always says another cardigan, which is just him missing the point I feel!
