Effort

Does anyone else feel that they should make more of an effort when they get dressed, if only for themselves, but then never actually do it? Or feel stuck in a clothes rut?

I feel like that! Have loads of lovely clothes & never really seem to wear any of them!

How do we break out of it?

Blondilocks, you say you have lots of lovely clothes to wear, so wear them or give them to me as i have none!!

Why do you keep putting the same ones on? familiarity, because they feel safe? try laying outfits out at night before you go to bed?

Why don't you wear your nice clothes? For me, it's because I keep thinking I'll shrink back into them. I'd love to experiment with new styles but I gravitate towards the same i feel comfortable with.

I tend to stick to my safe clothes when im not feeling to great about myself.
When im on the up (or lost a couple of pounds), im literally tearing through my wardrobe to wear the best things i've got.

I think it's because I have to wear a uniform at work so only wear my clothes in the car there & back & then around the house & it seems a ... well... a waste of the nice ones I suppose! It's just easy to put the same boring old thing on every day than to think about something different!

When I go out I do make an effort or if I'm likely to see anyone / on the days when I go to pick DD up from school I also make an effort.

Just getting bored I suppose & wondered if anyone else was the same!
