Just read instructions and sounds scary. I'm in need of tips and reassurance I think!

Ooooeeer, do you have any experience, I would imagine you would definetly need another pair of hands to help?

I did back in april and I would say you definitely need someone to help..
I used the Boots Straighten kit and this is how it came out

before

after

but 6 months on it's back to being curly as it was and I think if I was going to do it again I'd get it done properly at a salon

hope that helps

lilacclaire · 03/10/2007 01:34

Wowee, that looks great even for 6 months.
I am a natural curly also.

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 03/10/2007 09:07

lol, that's how it looked just after..

now it's back to curly but not as curly as it was although it's much easier to straighten with straightenrs now and it does look like that if I do

widgypog · 03/10/2007 15:53

pneumalifenewname · 03/10/2007 15:59

I was young so I may have done it wrong..didnt mean to scare you but be warned better to be curly than bald!!!

ShinyHappyPurpleSeveredHeads · 03/10/2007 21:10

I did it once.. and I "burnt" my hair to buggery. I was left with a stringy slimy-ish mess and had to have it all cut very short. Did my school run in a big hat and then got to the hairdressers before she did!!

I've not had long hair since.

Lulumama · 03/10/2007 21:12

i used the boots kit

it was good, but i think my hair is more fragile now, so i would not use it again

i;d go to a salon

prettymum · 03/10/2007 21:13

ive got a box of boots straightening kit sitting in my cupboard, im still too scared to use it! and the testing a strand of hair seems too long!
