Hair extensions - have you got them or had them?

I posted a couple of months ago, probably in the wrong place, other subjects I think. Anyway I didn't get a single reply

Do any of you have them or have had them in the past? Or am I the only really vain person here on m/n

I just wanted to hear other experiences of them really. Had mine put in back in August and although they still look good and very few have come out, was wondering how my hair will be once they are removed. They are Great Length extensions which apparently one of the best makes.

Thanks.

I had them, make sure you don't leave it too long before getting a top up - I left it too long and had to have them completely removed. My hair felt so so thin afterwards, but it's just adjusting from being used to long really thick hair. You have to use special shampoo and conditioner also - I wasn't told this and some kept falling out - you have to make sure you do not use moisturising products.

My sister put mine in with glue...

NEVER do this!! lol

i have hair and clips now - cheaper than salon ones and you can take them out whenever.

Thanks for the replies.

LadyOfWaffle, I wasn't told very much at all about the after care really. The woman who did mine is obviously very good at what she does but her manner was a bit off putting. Not being rude, but she seemed quite a rough type, can't think how else to put it really. She kept talking on the phone inbetween doing my hair, all personal stuff, and made me feel quite uncomfortable. They do look really good however and she has won loads of awards. I think she said to use L'oreal anti breakage shampoo and conditioner but like you say nothing else. Was the top up expensive and how long before you went back.

The other thing is I was wondering if I could go to another salon for a top up or to have them removed as I really didnt like this woman.

You can go anywhere, I went to a different place tyo have them removed after she cancelled 2 top up appointments on me. The top up is every 2 months for about £60, alot cheaper than re-doing them completely.
