Since Lockdown I've stopped and don't miss it. If I eventually use up my stock when I'm back in the office...I doubt I'll buy another bottle...

@SarBear1980. I’ve seen those, they do get good reviews.

Although I use lee staffords hair care range and it smells a lot like Thierry muglers (?) angel which is good as Angel smells vile on me.

OLGADEEPOLGA · 29/07/2020 08:53

Still wearing it as it cheers me up and I've always worn it for myself not because I think others might like it. I have learnt through lockdown that with anything you wear you need to take that approach.

StrawberryPi · 29/07/2020 09:06

@TinyMetalBirds

I put some on for a Zoom call with my friends. It made DH laugh. I haven’t been wearing as much but I often put some on round the house- I wear it for me really, because I like the smell. Although having said that I put some Eau d’Issey on the other day and DS said “that smell reminds me of the car. Because you always wear it when we are in the car.”
I completely have this with my mum's perfume! I am an adult and have not lived with her for more than a decade but a whiff of her perfume still makes me feel faintly car-sick Grinmemories are funny things....

I've started using it again recently. I just want some sort of normal. Although I can not be bothered to buy new clothes and makeup, and I have things unworn

notheragain4 · 29/07/2020 09:50

I really want to buy a jo malone one but don't know which one, our John Lewis is about to reopen, will I be able to smell them at a counter there? Wasn't sure how it would work with masks!

Craftycorvid · 29/07/2020 09:57

Yes, me too with perfume and make-up, not sure why really. I gaze at my make-up box in a similar way to staring at some complicated piece of machinery I used to know how to operate - then I go away and have a biscuit! Grin I have used perfume occasionally just finding it an odd ritual. I’m sure these things will slowly return; I’m getting the hang of the whole clothes thing now having slobbed about for months.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/07/2020 10:34

No, I wear perfume even if it’s a pj Sunday!

At the beginning of lockdown I realised it would be poor for my mental health to knock about in joggers and no makeup, even if DP and the cat couldn’t care less. I am not wearing work clothes but have otherwise kept up my normal routine.

springtimeinbognor · 29/07/2020 10:46

I wear it because I love it, and I would feel naked without it! Jo Malone Wild Bluebell today. I rarely wear make up, lockdown or not, and never look glam - but I always smell nice!

Hmmmwhatsthat · 29/07/2020 11:20

Still wearing it every day, its a great way to lift my spirits. All through lockdown I've been wearing J by Jennifer Anniston. I bought it off Fragrance Direct as it was cheap and I liked the sound of it. Its actually lovely, the best cheap perfume I've bought. Kind of beachy and not offensive (my fave scent is Tom Fords Black Orchid, not at all suitable for round the house!)

At the same time I bought Glow by JLo as it gets a lot of love on here. My god its rank! Also bought Art of Sakura by Shiseido which I can't decide if I hate it or love it.

Actually I've just realised that I stocked up on perfume at the start of lockdown to cheer myself up. What about you OP, have you stopped wearing it? I happily gave up on makeup and wearing a bra, but perfume will have to be prised from my cold dead hands I think!

AlrightTreacle · 29/07/2020 11:30

I don't usually wear perfume everyday, but have been since lockdown, it's like a bit of normality and a pick me up.

My morning routine is now basically shower, moisturise, perfume, blusher, mascara and tinted lipbalm. I also didn't wear make up every day before lockdown, again it just makes me feel a bit better.

CourtneyLurve · 29/07/2020 11:53

Nope. It's part of my routine. Shower, deodorant, moisturiser, perfume. I do that everyday, even if I get back into jammies.

Richlyfruited · 29/07/2020 18:56

@notheragain4 when I popped in last, my local JL had staff on their Jo Malone counter (unlike other beauty counters which were empty) so I assume you can ask for a tester probably on a card? If you're unsure, maybe order a few Perfume Parlour dupes? I think their JM ones are good!

I've been relying heavily on the Fragrantica website as have made a few blind buys during lockdown. Important to keep the spirits up and all that Grin

Hopefully this thread can help get your perfume mojo back OP Grin

sugarlost · 30/07/2020 21:26

It feels like I'm outnumbered... glad it's giving so many of you joyGrin

I may have a spritz when I'm out at the weekend... maybe it's because I haven't found my scent but I really don't miss it! I think I prefer light comforting scents.

@Craftycorvid I love your description of now gazing at a make-up box like a complicated piece of machinery and then grabbing a biscuitGrin

No haven't bothered with perfume since lock down when I'm at home, although I do get up and shower make up etc for work as I spend all day on calls !

dudsville · 30/07/2020 21:35

I used to only wear perfume to go to work, never on days off. But i love my perfume so i now wear it daily!
